Our Story

The Name

The Violet Rose Atelier is named for our daughters. They are the future we are fighting to protect.

Every Living Ark is built with them in mind. Every plant we propagate is a seed planted for their world. Every spell we cast is a prayer for the wild places they will inherit.

Who We Are

We are spiritual artists and conservation horticulturalists. Our paths converged long before the Atelier, but this is where they have found their truest expression.

We build Arks because the world is losing species faster than we can name them. We build them because art can hold grief and transform it into beauty. We build them because magic is real and intention matters.

And we build them for our daughters, so they grow up in a world that still remembers the wild.

Our Mission

We do not build terrariums. The Violet Rose Atelier builds Arks to protect the most vulnerable. The forgotten. The lost. We refuse to lose them forever.

We look to preserve plants and ecosystems that are threatened by war, political conflict, economic instability, modernization, deforestation, farming, mining, climate change, natural disasters, and more.

We maintain and propagate in hope that someday the species we care for can be sent home. Until then, we will make them a home. Care for them. Protect them.

Poetry

Our work is woven with poetry. We feel it in the bones of every Ark. Words are spells. Language is magic. The poems that accompany our plants and Arks are blessings, not afterthoughts.

What We Believe

We believe that every Living Ark is a prayer. That every plant has a purpose. That every space can be enchanted.

We believe in conservation as a spiritual practice. In ex situ preservation as an act of love. In building refuges for species that have nowhere else to go.

We believe that art can save lives. That magic is real. That the wild is worth fighting for.
